Youngistan Awakens. Kudos…!

Posted on 12:37 by Unknown
If you think India’s youth belongs to the gleaming glassfronts of the malls and multiplexes, prodos and hukka bars….Beware….you are wrong.

This may come as a rude shock for you. But the real young India lies somewhere else, miles away from dazzling disco life of the metro cities.

Yes, we love MTV Roadies & we love to wait for eons of time for the auditions of Indian Idol. Yes, we dream to have Armani Jacket, and Ray Ban on our eyes.
Of course, Splitsvilla enraptures us, and we enjoy being bindass on emotional atyachar.

But, we are the citizens of Young India, where the world is watching it’s atavistic values being mixed with the modern achievements the world would have hardly imagined.

We are bored of watching Karan Johar’s family drama and Rang De Basanti inspires us a lot. We enjoy introducing ourselves as ‘nonpolitical’ on orkut and facebook, and still we are wooed by watching Rahul Gandhi leading us. We are not NRI and still wishing for ‘Barack Obama’ to win the election, and Sunita Williams and Kalpana Chawla is role model to us. ‘Lead India’ expedites our spirit, and Sachin’s 200 make us proud as if we were the creators of that record.

We are the Young Achievers of India…The real, refulgent, revived… India.
We are from every Nukkad, every Gali, every Village of India.

We are in Politics, we write the books. IPL demands us, and we are popular journalist well acclaimed across the globe. We have left our so called highly sophisticated foreign degrees, and invested our life to serve rural India. We participate in voting, and we opine on all that is asked to us. ‘Jago Re’ is the new Mantra for us, and we are not corrupted.

We are entrepreneurs, industrialists, and skilled workers too; we are the promoters of information era. We are not the Target Audience for Multinational corporations, but we are the Brand Ambassadors for them.
Of course our interest in politics is peripheral, but we form the core of Army, Air force and Navy.

Our hunger is on…! Even we are in the villages and small towns, where electricity is an infrequent visitor and we have to travel miles for education.
We have Prachi Desai, from a small town to reach Bollywood, and an young MBA from US to return home and become a farmer. We have a dude to fight against untouchability and a leader to represent India in US White House. We have the daughter of a peon to crack IAS, and top ranking cricketer who enjoyed playing ‘gali cricket’ for years.

We are the writers of the future of India, and the designers of Shining India.
Kudos…!Youngistan…Kudos…!
