Boy's Hostel...!

Posted on 11:32 by Unknown
Have you ever been to a boy's hostel? It's always a Boy thingy.

And if you are a girl, you always live in a denial, of course, and will never tell us how much desperate are you
to know about Boy's hostel.

Come, to SVIM, Boy's hostel, where we shared everything in this world except our under wears.
We were doing everything possible under this open sky; be it judging statistics of some hot junior girls, finding faults of national brand strategies of giant multinationals like Pepsico and Hindustan Lever, talking nonsense about some blessed boys who got their match atleast for two years,dreaming about the girls hostel some 100 steps away in the same campus, and making it to the loo standing right under that window of junior's rooms, copying assignments from those spectacle packed studious girls of the class, and discussing case studies as if we were the CEOs of those
hapless companies.. We were doing everything, except studying

We were a gang of 10 handsome dudes, the bachelors, the scorpion kings, the
emperors of million hearts (of course of girls), and the warriors or rather strugglers till end (for those passing marks in exams).

God was not treating us well financially, except few blessed ones. And then even we forgot that

"Life is a season lent;
Moments are treasures sent;
See that they're wisely spent."

But who cares...

Days went and so our parties, meetings, plannings, boozing ans what not; our hostel witnessed everything.

I can't prove it scientifically, but i swear we were in interesting company.
There was one room full with some society kings, and some regal designer friends, while there was lot of laughter and abundant whiskey / beer in another corner room. One room was always reeking terribly bad due to bunch of some scattered unwashed socks on the floor, while some were superfluously smoky, thanks to some convivial friends who needed cigarattes while talking. Some rooms were exchanging those CDs and DVDs for nights, as if they were smuggling some banned drugs.
While some puritans saved their rooms from all the devils of the world, and created a strong animosity to the God's creature; we the human, the students.

Every end of the month, we needed funding, and that led us became too sociable and family boy, after all it's family who spared us the monetary quantity without having any genuine possibility of ROI. And for the rest of the month, we winded up with our
long lasting chat with a soft 'me too, darling' and little 'muaaaaaaaaahhhh', resulting in those record breaking mobile bills.

These chatting nights were causing neusea next day in the class, and many of us were caught slumbering and were ordered to
better leave class a million times.

We still remember those partnership fundings for dinner at 'Dhabas' and gleaning money to pay our trivial but derogatory debts.

We all lived with vivid fantansies, but we were united in all goods and bads of lifes. Apparently we realized, Our hostel was the firmament of knowledge and information we are encashing today.

Technically, we still live in the hostel, with variety of people spriting toward something.
Everything else has changed, our two wheelers are traded in for a metalic four wheelers, Rs. 200 priced watches into branded stuffs, Reebok and Gucci apparels are covering us well, and we are now made over new corporate version of this society.

But looking through the glass of this society, all I see is pain. Where are my hostelites, who were always there for celebration on my achievements, for discussion on my troubles, and for inspiration on my failures?

Because looking through this glass, I realise, that it was my real INSTITUTE, my Hostel.

Today, we are making better parts of some multinational corporations but, we; by origin are the creation of that land, that
wind, and that water, which fed us for the buiding years of our career.

Saluting...Adieu.
